Hadian Valve's Ultra-Supercritical Bypass Valves Successfully Pass Assessment

On March 18, the China General Machinery Industry Association organized a product assessment conference for the "High and Low Pressure Bypass Valves for Ultra-Supercritical Thermal Power Unit Turbines" in Tangshan, Hebei Province. The valves were jointly developed by Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd. Douhe Thermal Power Branch and Harbin Electric Group Harbin Power Plant Valve Company Limited. The assessment conference was chaired by President Huang Li.

The assessment committee consisted of experts from institutions including Hefei General Machinery Research Institute, Datang Liaoning Branch, East China Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., North China Electric Power University, and Harbin Turbine Company Limited. Sui Yongbin, former Chief Engineer of the China Machinery Industry Federation, served as the director of the assessment committee.

Experts and representatives on the assessment committee listened to a report from Hadian Valve on the development of the bypass valves, inspected the operational status and key technical indicators of the bypass valves on-site at the Douhe Thermal Power Branch, and reviewed relevant documentation. The assessment committee concluded that the "High and Low Pressure Bypass Valves for Ultra-Supercritical Thermal Power Unit Turbines" developed by Hadian Valve possess independent intellectual property rights, have resolved a critical "bottleneck" issue, achieved product performance indicators reaching internationally advanced levels, offer favorable economic and social benefits, and are ready for promotion and application.
