In industries such as oil and gas and chemical engineering that have high requirements for pressure and safety, the APl Cast Steel Slab Gate Valve is not an ordinary "switch", it is a key component to ensure the safe and smooth transportation of media.
The APl Cast Steel Slab Gate Valve can handle the transportation of high-pressure and large-diameter media. In places like long-distance oil and gas pipelines, LNG stations and oil refineries, the pressure of the conveyed medium often reaches tens of megapascals, and the pipe diameters are also large. Ordinary valves cannot withstand or meet the flow requirements. However, this type of gate valve is made of cast steel, which is strong enough. Coupled with a reasonable flow channel design, it can not only withstand high pressure but also allow the medium to flow smoothly, without causing unstable pipeline pressure due to valve restrictions.
Its sealing is particularly reliable and it can prevent leakage in both directions. Many media in oil and gas and chemical industries are flammable and toxic. Even a slight leakage can cause trouble. This gate valve uses an integrated plate gate. No matter from which direction the medium flows, it can achieve zero leakage, which is much more reliable than the one-way seal of traditional gate valves. Moreover, it has no grooves inside, so the medium will not accumulate in the valve, preventing medium waste and avoiding safety issues caused by medium residue. It is very suitable for scenarios with high sealing requirements, such as LNG.
The APl Cast Steel Slab Gate Valve can cooperate with pipeline cleaning. After long-term use, impurities and wax will accumulate on the inner walls of long-distance oil and gas pipelines. If not cleaned, they will clog the pipelines and affect the transportation efficiency. When cleaning the pipe, a pipe cleaner is used to run through the pipe, which requires that the inside of the valve be unobstructed. This type of gate valve is designed with a full bore and has no protruding grooves. The pigging device can pass through smoothly without getting stuck, thus ensuring the pigging operation proceeds smoothly and the pipeline remains unobstructed.
It can adapt to special installation environments. For instance, some valves need to be buried underground, such as oil and gas pipelines in cities and underground oil storage depots. If the valve stem is not long enough, the ground has to be dug during operation and maintenance, which is both costly and affects traffic. This type of gate valve can be equipped with an extended valve stem. The top of the valve stem can extend into the operation well on the ground, allowing for operation and maintenance without digging the ground, which is much more convenient.
